This project, in Gregório, Queimadas, Bahia, Brazil, was completed in March, 2011 under the direction of the Instituto Diamante Verde (IDV).
We have received word from IDV that the area is going through a severe drought. However, the tank that was built has served as a repository for water delivered by the government by tanker trucks each day. Water is then delivered to the members of the community to serve their needs.
We are pleased to have been able to participate in this project, and share the pride of the community and IDV that the project has proven to be important to the welfare of the community and is a sustainable solution for its needs.
