This project was designed to restore the community’s access to potable water, and provide water for irrigation, through the installation of a new pump. The project has been completed under the direction of Peace Corps Volunteer Lesa Young.

A summary of Lesa’s report is as follows:
The forage repair was a success and the village is very, very happy to have water again.
The pump and piping were replaced. The overall project took just over two weeks, with the community overseeing the process.
The technician was then able to repair the old pump and return it to the village so that they might have it in case of a future malfunction.
I conducted training for the new garden. Many members of the community have expressed gratitude and are extremely excited to be able to move forward with future gardening projects that will benefit the community.
We are grateful to Lesa for completing this excellent project.
