This project has been completed under the direction of Peace Corps Volunteer Alexandra Collins. To read about the beginning of the project, CLICK HERE.
The project was to purchase and install a water filtration system for the school.
Alexandra reports:
I was able to purchase and have installed the reverse osmosis water filtration system at the Kirovograd State Pedagogical Academy.
Additionally, two student teachers and I held a water sanitation seminar for approximately 25 students. The seminar covered topics such as the importance of clean water and the dangerous effects of water pollution. The students also made their own environmental slogans and posters describing what they had learned in the lesson.
In addition, the students were educated on how the reverse osmosis system functions. They were happy to learn that they now have access to clean drinking water in the school.
The Kirovograd Pedagogical Academy is grateful for your help!
We in turn extend our thanks to Alexandra for completing the project, and again wish to thank The Soneva SLOW LIFE Trust for providing the funding.
