We like it when we get more than we bargained for. We undertook to fix one well, but it looks like two will be fixed within the budget.

PCV Lindsay Holmes writes:

With the $500 Appropriate Projects gave us, we have been able to do repairs on two wells in Sergelen soum. One of the wells’ repairs is now complete, while the other one is almost finished. We have been waiting on a part to come from Ulaanbaatar (the capital of Mongolia) for some time. Hopefully, it will come in the next week so that the well will be operational by then. I’ve attached some pictures of the well that is complete.
Once the other well is repaired, I will take pictures of it and send them to you.

We’ll post a final report when we get the pictures of the second well.

Meanwhile, we asked Lindsay when we can expect her next project. She replied:

I would love to do another project, but it wouldn’t be until March or April until we are able to here, because of the weather.

That would translate to: “It gets so **** cold here you can’t dig through the snow and ice!”
