The project was to provide crucial sanitation services for the center.
Megan reports:
We completed the project, resulting in clean, potable water supplies, toilets and showers for our most vulnerable, homeless, displaced and suffering neighbors.
We really made project funds go a long, long way. All three bathrooms now have showers, two toilets and sinks. Additionally, there is water in the community room kitchen and a washing machine.
The weather here is very cold right now, -12 C, and the fact that there are toilets, warm showers and a place to wash clothes is an absolute gift to those who would otherwise be on the street.
I want you to know how much the funding was appreciated. The extremely cold weather has pressed the agency to provide for many, many people. I am confident in saying that water for warm showers and the ability to wash clothes has truly saved lives.
We wish to thank Megan for completing this project, and again extend our gratitude to The Soneva SLOW LIFE Trust for providing the funding.
