This project has been successfully completed, under the direction of Peace Corps Volunteer Frank Guzzardo.

The project was to construct a cistern at the primary school for water storage, and to run the necessary piping to the school garden and the latrine. The system is fully functional at present.

Frank extends the gratitude of the community:

The people of Matakossi and I would like to thank you for making the water works project for our school garden possible. The Community Rurale President Dundo Keita , Mr. Keita (head teacher) and Ibrahima Diallo (village chief) are delighted with the project and look forward to the gardening season as well as the children finally using the latrine and hand washing station.

We are grateful to The Soneva SLOW LIFE Trust for (with the help of friends and family of Frank Guzzardo) providing the funding for this successful project.
