This project has been completed under the direction of Peace Corps Volunteer Steven Klimberg.

The project was to renovate the toilet facilities and drainage system at the school.

Steven reports:

We finished the project. After picking up the funds, people form the local Rotary and I met with the school Principal to finalize the plans for the project. Then, we proceeded to check out the prices at different shops before purchasing the materials for the repairs.

Once we had the materials we searched for qualified people from the school community to do the labor. What we did was replace the toilet bowls, and plumbing, paint the insides of the comfort rooms, and fix the doors of the comfort rooms.

The toilet bowls are now operating unlike before, and the comfort rooms look and smell cleaner.

On behalf of the Lubas community we want to say maraming salamat po! (Much thanks!).

We are grateful to Steven for completing the project.
