Conclusion of Krasnorechensk Secondary School Water Project – Ukraine

This project has been completed under the direction of Peace Corps Volunteer Kyle Borley. To read about the beginning of the project, CLICK HERE.

The project was to purchase and install a water filtration system and drinking fountain at Krasnorechensk Secondary School.

Kyle reports:

For the project, we put in a water faucet in the bathroom, new piping, and a water filter.

Previously, the students had to go outside to the well to get water. This caused extreme hardship during the cold winters. In addition, it was known that the well water was contaminated, and caused some kids to get sick.

The new system provides clean, safe water for the children, for which everyone at the school is grateful.

We wish to thank Kyle for completing the project, again wish to thank The Soneva SLOW LIFE Trust for providing the funding.
