Location
Ker Ngornyan, North Bank Region, The Gambia
Community Description
Ker Ngornyan is a small village of about 400 people on the main road. The people are farmers who mostly grow groundnuts, coos, and sesame. Some people are keeping livestock including cows. At least two farmers are making good efforts in tree planting.
The main pump for drinking water in the village is non-functional.
Project Description
This project is to repair the main pump by replacing the broken parts, including the piston fittings.
This is a routine job performed by a local craftsman. The parts are known collectively as a “repair kit”, and are sourced locally.
Project Impact
400 people will benefit from this project.
