This project has been completed on schedule and within budget under the direction of Peace Corps Volunteer Colleen Laurence. Water is now available in the maternity, pediatric, and general consultation rooms at the Ruhunda Health Center.

Colleen reports:
The nurses and doctors are so pleased to have the new sinks in place. One nurse confided in me that she used to be so embarrassed to preach about good hygiene when it was so difficult to wash her hands between consultations. Now, she feels as if she really can model good hygienic practices.
Funds for this project were provided through the generosity of Six Senses Resorts and Spas, an award-winning resort and spa management and development company with a deep commitment to social responsibility.
Colleen expressed her gratitude, and that of the staff, to Water Charity and Six Senses:
Thank you so much for your help in making running water a reality at the Ruhunda Health Center.
