Conclusion of Vynnyky Sanatorium School Water Filter Project – Ukraine

This project has been completed under the direction of Peace Corps Volunteer Suzanne Cochran. To read about the beginning of the project, CLICK HERE.

The project was to install a water filtration system in the kitchen to provide clean water for cooking and dishwashing at the Vynnyky Sanatorium School. The system was designed to ensure the health and safety of the vulnerable and needy children served by the facility.

Suzanne reports:

Believe it or not, this project finally got finished – months and months behind schedule, but finished at last. Life in Ukraine…. what can I say. I was at the orphanage over the weekend and a visitor from Poland came up and thanked me for the clean water – he doesn’t even live there, but visits every now and then, and was very happy about it. The kitchen staff, as you can see, are very happy too.

One of the delays was changing the installation point. After much discussion it was decided the entry point for water into the kitchen area was best, and it took some extra work.

Many thanks again for your good work.

We, in turn, wish to thank Suzanne for completing this project, and again thank Life Without Limbs for providing the funding.
