The project was to build two wells in the village.

Josephine reports:

Both wells have been completed!

The wells are located in centralized locations to provide access to multiple families. They now provide water for drinking, cooking, washing clothes, sanitation, and hygiene.

The wells were hand dug to a depth of about 13 meters by a local construction worker. The building process was slow due to the interruption caused by the harvest season.

Each well includes a waterproof cement lining and a runoff area to prevent the accumulation of standing water.

One family went on to build a simple non-electric pump system themselves!

The families extended their deep gratitude.

We are grateful to Josephine for completing this project, and again extend our thanks to WHOLE WORLD Water for providing the funding.
