The project was to improve the quality of the water for students by installing a central water purifier and new pipes in the washroom.

Jay reports:

On behalf of our community I wanted to thank you for the support of our project called Clean Water in the Village of Svitaz. Your organization has made it possible for the community to remodel the wash room which is the main source of drinking water for 300 students.

This project would not have been undertaken without your organization’s idea and its financial support. Further, the manner in which your organization removes barriers to implementing projects was so important for the community to get started.

The projected completed this week. As you can see from the pictures, the labor donated by the community did a very nice job with the remodeling of sinks, floors, pipes, filters, etc.

Because of your program and efforts, our community was able to realize a long overdue project. The donation from you encouraged the community to donate the labor and even contribute to extra materials after they realized the project was a possibility.

Further, the community is already discussing a new larger project because of the success of this program. Your support and the outcome of the project has become of an example of what is possible when the people work together.

We wish to thank Jay for carrying out this project, and again express our gratitude to Gina Valentino and Jay’s friends and family for providing the funding.
