Conclusion of Silahuá Pre-School Bathroom Project – Peru

This project has been completed under the direction of Peace Corps Volunteer Patrick Sullivan. To read about the beginning of the project, CLICK HERE.

The project was to build a bathroom at the pre-school.

Patrick reports:

The pictures show the construction and the final product. (He notes that the bathroom has since been painted.)

The parents and students were overjoyed with the final product. As is the case in many rural Latin American towns, most schools are without good, clean, hygienic facilities, and the pre-school in Silahua was no exception. However, the new bathroom will allow students and parents to learn and practice good hygiene from an early age.

Patrick has completed his service as a Peace Corps Volunteer. We extend our thanks to him for implementing this project, and wish him the best in his future career.

We again wish to thank The Soneva SLOW LIFE Trust and Patrick’s friends and family for providing the funding for this project.
