This project has been completed under the direction of Peace Corps Volunteer Chris Hagel.

The project was to purchase and install a water filter in the kitchen of the school cafeteria.

Chris reports:

With the quote of price in hand and the measurements of where the water filter would be installed a history teacher and I went to a local shop that sells water filtration devices. We purchased new water filters, piping and mounting brackets.

The maintenance workers at the school cleaned the area within the kitchen area of the school and installed the new filters using the pipes and mounting brackets we purchased.

After the installation there was pipe left over and it was used to install some filters the school already had at a drinking fountain on the first floor of the school.

Generally the community was very happy with the filters. When I went into the kitchen to photograph the filters, the kitchen workers thanked me and were very happy with it. The school was especially pleased with being able to install a second existing filter using the extra pipes.

Thank you for your wonderful charity.

We extend our thanks to Chris for completing this project, and to Debra Price for providing the funding.
