Conclusion of Sambande Well Improvement Project – Senegal

This project has been completed under the direction of Peace Corps Volunteer Jennie Wysong. To read about the beginning of the project, CLICK HERE.

The project was to repair and improve the two wells in Sambande.

Jennie reports:

Two rebar and cement well covers were constructed, each with metal doors for the drawing of water. Also, the cement platform around the central well was repaired.

The women are extremely pleased with their new well covers and held an impromptu drum and dance party on the first day they got to use them.

Jennie previously successfully completed the Sambande School Latrine Project – Senegal.

We wish to thank Jennie for completing the project, and again extend our thanks to The Soneva SLOW LIFE Trust for providing the funding.
