Conclusion of Rustavi School #10 Water Project – Georgia

This project has been successfully completed under the direction of Peace Corps Volunteer Alene Kennedy Hendricks. To see the history of this project CLICK HERE.

The project was to renovate three bathrooms in Rustavi School #10, one each for the male students, female students, and teachers. The bathrooms were in total disrepair, with sewage flowing onto the floor and into the halls.

Pipes, water tanks and tubes connecting the tanks with the toilets were replaced. New sinks were installed, along with other sanitation fixtures.

Hand-washing trainings were conducted with 2 students from each class, who then presented to the rest of the students in their grade level.

Alene expressed her gratitude of the teachers and students for making the project possible.

We are grateful to The Soneva SLOW LIFE Trust for providing the funding for this successful project.
