The project was to provide water to the garden by extending the water line to the garden and installing a faucet.
Emma reports:
I am pleased to inform you that the project for the community garden in Ndiawene Peulh has been completed! Piping was run from an existing water tower located in Darou Ndiawene to the garden.
There was enough money to build two water faucets for both sides of the hectare of land – one faucet for the Ndiawene Peulh garden and one faucet for the Darou Ndiawene side of the hectare garden space. Hoses can now be attached to the faucets to provide water the entire garden.
Water Charity funds paid for the materials and the labor of the plumber and trench diggers.
A bit of money remained, and the two villages plan to spend it on watering cans and shovels for the garden.
