Conclusion of Khotyn Art School Toilet Project – Ukraine

This project has been completed under the direction of Peace Corps Volunteer Janet McLaughlin.

This project was to install two squat toilets and a sink in an existing storage area in the school.

Janet reports:

The project involved creating a new small room from an existing office and storage room.

The first step was trenching and installation of water and sewer lines to connect with lines in the street.

The sink and Turkish toilet were then installed.

Staff and students at the school are delighted! “This is so nice – thank you;” “We really like it!!”

What a delightful change from that outhouse – my sincere thanks to all who helped make this happen.

And I especially like the color of the walls – yes, it’s an art school.

We congratulate Janet on the completion of the project and extend our thanks to Jeremiah Coughlan and the rest of Janet’s friends and family for providing the funding.
