Conclusion of Blessed Day Care Latrine Project – Uganda

This project has been completed under the direction of Peace Corps Volunteer Emily Clouse. To read about the beginning of the project, CLICK HERE.

The project was to build a 3-stall latrine at the day care center.

Emily reports:

The Blessed Day Care Latrine Project has been completed successfully thanks to Water Charity and the financial support of the St. Paul Lutheran Church.

Through local labor and materials, the 3-stall latrine was professionally dug and the structure was built according to plan.

We enjoyed a dedication ceremony, and the children are now accessing this improved sanitation facility!

The church has also decided to raise funds to install city water to the site for a cleaner, more convenient water source and a source of income for neighbors wishing to utilize it.

Thank you for all that you do!

We are grateful to Emily for completing the project and to the St. Paul Lutheran Church for providing the funding.
