Conclusion of Caserio La Peña Water Supply and Storage Project – El Salvador

This project has been completed under the direction of Peace Corps Volunteer Gregory Cormier. To read about the beginning of the project, CLICK HERE.

The project was to establish a water supply and storage system at the church and at the school.

Gregory reports:

We purchased two tanks for water storage in La Peña and we implemented both projects successfully.

The church now has running water to three toilets and two faucets and the school now has running water from one faucet, and a rather large 400 liter water storage tank.

About 85% of volunteers in El Salvador, including Gregory, had to leave the country early because of security issues that arose. We are grateful that Gregory was able to complete this project and report on its successful outcome.

We again extend our thanks to the Elmo Foundation for providing the funding.
